Hi!
This is a question for down the road, as Wilson is only 14 weeks and is crated in our bedroom at night and when we go out. Our 9 year old Golden Ivy has a dog bed in our room as well, but recently has been opting to sleep downstairs as Wilson's early morning grousing (when he's "up" but not truly needing to come out of the crate) seems to bother her.

I'm wondering what bedtime setup other people with multiple dogs have (for those whose dogs don't sleep on the human bed)? I don't think Wilson will be in the crate long term, so we'd be looking at 2 dog beds in our bedroom. Does that work fine for most folk, or does one dog tend to bother another? During the day they sometimes nap together but there is a lot of moving about and repositioning, etc. Does that get to be a bit much at 3:00 am, or do they find a rhythm? Too many nighttime shenanigans will lead to grumpy humans in the am.
Thanks!

I'm down to one dog currently, in the past when I've had two, they each have had a bed in my bedroom.

During the summer months, neither stayed in their beds if/when they got hot. They usually moved the floor to be cooler, sometimes they would both go to one of the bathrooms and sleep on the tile floors. My current boy likes to sleep in the shower because it's cool, he's either in there or on the tile floor.

They found what worked best for them and never disturbed my sleep.
