Hi all! The story of how I got here is a little convoluted, but boy am I glad to have stumbled on to this *amazing* resource!

I've just recently lost one of my two furkids, and as what seems to be part of my grieving process I've been researching breeders to get an idea of who I'd like to get my next puppy from, although I wont be getting said puppy for about a year. Anyway, thanks to fabulous Google, I happened across this forum, and after a few days of thread stalking, I figured it was probably time I become an honest member!

I'm really excited about all of the resources gathered here. I've been in love with Goldens since I was about 8 and love to gab with others as passionate about this wonderful breed as I. But then again, I love pretty much any animal and am quite "gifted in gab" (as my mother says) so a forum for Golden lovers seems pretty natural.

Welcome to the forum and I'm very sorry for your loss
I found this forum, in the same exact way, back in 2005. I had just lost my 1st golden, Sasha, and I stumbled across this forum's listing while looking at Yankee Goldens' rescue site. It really helped me with the grieving process to be able to "talk" with other golden owners.

I'd like to sincerely thank everyone for their condolences. Maverick was a great puppy and it honestly makes me feel good to think about the fact that though his life was short, he blessed our lives with so much happiness and I'd like to think we returned the favor and then some!

And thanks for the welcome!!! Unfortunately I've noticed after the fact that I didn't take nearly enough photos of adult Maverick... Mostly baby Maverick photos are all I have. Oh, and ones of the consequences of his mischievousness! Maggie on the other hand is a camera hog!! I'll post several photos of both of them as soon as I can!
