Hello All!

I just wanted to say hello and introduce ourselves...we are a family of 5 (kids are 14, 10 and 8) and we also have a 3yo goldendoodle named Jake. On saturday, my husband and middle son will be picking up Zinnie (who is 7.5 months old) from Kansas. We are all quite excited!

I figure that I am going to need some support in the next few months and so joined this group...:)

Are there any behavioral issues that I may need to watch out for in an almost 8 month old golden?? Is teething still a huge issue?? I seem to remember a 2nd teething phase with our Jake...

well that's it for now...im sure I'll be on here a bunch :)

Hello and welcome to the board. How exciting for you. I don't remember any teething issues at 8 months of age - seems like it was pretty much past by then. I would try to make your first introduction of the 2 dogs outside and without any toys. I think it's natural that there could be some jealousy or possessiveness with your older dog; so just make sure to give Jake some special one-on-one time.
