Hello all, I'm excited to be here. Our family just got a wonderful golden puppy named Chewie last week. He's 15 weeks old and just the sweetest pup. We really struggled to find a great family dog and we've never had a golden before, but we are enjoying him so much, we couldn't be happier.

Look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome to the forum! The name of your pup makes me laugh; sometimes, when Dottie is laying on her back with her legs splayed in all directions and her head tilted back, we call her "Wookie" because she looks like Chewbacca! I'll get a photo of that sometime. :D

Welcome to the forum. Chewie is an ideal golden name. Not to scare you or anything, but that is their favorite pasttime for a couple years. Or at least it was for my two. Where are you in CA? My son and his family live in Sunnyvale. He works for Apple.

Thanks for the kind welcome! We're in Martinez, CA which is on the outskirts of the SF bay area. Yes, Chewie is our little Wookie, my son is in a big Star Wars phase right now!

Granada Hills - I was there last year! When we lived in Santa Barbara, my stepdaughter and I went to Pasadena for breakfast (had to try Roscoe's Chicken n Waffles), and 'stopped by' Granada Hills to find where Knot's Landing was filmed years ago. Kind of a strange quest, but it was an adventure, and we loved the area. What a great neighborhood... and so close to the hills and great hiking.
