Well, after almost 30 years w/ australian sheperds, I decided it was time change.

So we talked it over & I convinced the SO that we should get a golden.
We brought Casey home @ 8 weeks old, it's been a long 7 weeks!

I have gotten some very good training tips by reading this forum. Thank you all.

I forgot how much energy a puppy has! He is doing pretty well with his training & walking on a loose lead, still some biting issues which we work on every day. The rest of the time he is a sweetheart.

We have a 22 yr. old handicapped son and Casey treats him like gold, almost never mouths or bites him & makes special trips to get attention even when playing with the resst of us. I think they are going to be close friends for a long time! :D

Welcome to the forum,
Congrats on your new puppy. I always say if you can survive puppyhood you can survive anything. It is good that Casey and your son are such buddies already.

Thanks for the welcome.

We put up some pics as soon as we find the cable for the camera which disappeared while her grandnephew was here!

amy22 we friends in Suwanee & Buford, so maybe we can meet for a golden swim or meet & greet some time.
