I have 2 male goldens. Sam is 3 (cinnamon color), Buddy is 5 (blonde). Sam is my problem child. When I give Buddy attention, Sam will step in between us, put his mouth on my arm and whine. And if that doens't get my attention:no: - he'll immediately starts humping Buddy. Sam gets as much attention as Buddy, but it is NEVER enough. I don't have a clue what to do to make him more secure. Appreciate any suggestions.:) Thanks.

Teach them both to sit politely for petting; ask for a little self control from both of them. Sam can't be pushy if he's supposed to be holding a sit, and if he gets up and starts to be pushy, quickly remind him his job is to be sitting.

Excellent advice from Quiz. I'd even be tempted to get up quietly and matter- of -factly tether Sam to his nice, cmnfy dog bed each time he starts so Buddy can get his attention in peace.
