My pup was only dewormed from the breeder at 6 weeks, then 8 weeks when I got her. She tested negative for a stool sample at the time.

I did some reading and it sounds like she should be dewormed several times - is this true? The vet never recommended it again or another stool sample...

At what age do I worm my puppy?

Puppies 4 to 12 weeks of age should be wormed every two weeks.

From age 12 weeks to 6 months puppies should be wormed monthly

From 6 months onward dogs and puppies should be wormed every 3 months.

The vet should be able to tell you when he should be dewormed. i know Oakley was at 8 weeks right before i got him then again after that, possibly 2 more times. check with the vet they should know..

Most heartworm preventives are also dewormers, so if you started your pup on one of them, you'll be deworming every time you give one.

I've always dewormed this way. Never have done a separate deworming.
