I have mentioned before that I work at a ski area and that Murphy comes with me to work pretty much every day.

Here are some pictures of him doing his "job"

When one works a demanding job that requires long hours, he must take advantage of every spare second to rest and recharge.

It is always important to check the equipment before starting the day.

Checking the terrain for any hazards or inconsistencies is also vital:

Analysis of the snowpack is best done by the mouth.

Hazards, such as sticks, should be removed. Or, at least moved.

The commute home is a good time to debrief and discuss the days events with ones coworkers.

"Unwinding" at the end of the day is a necessary part of the working life. It is also a good time to catch up with the unemployed (lazy cat!) amongst us. Sharing an antler is a good way to bond.

Experimentation is required to find the most comfortable sleeping position.

Days off should be spent exploring new places and making new friends.
(This is Murphy, 8 mos./60 pounds, playing with a malamute/newf mix -- ALSO 8 MONTHS!)

Murphy says keep working hard everyone!

Thanks guys! Murphy does love the mountain. My car is basically a big giant dog crate filled with toys these days. We play and run around until he gets tired and then he naps for a few hours while I'm inside working and then repeat.

It's not a bad life :)
