Getting into it.
In Newport Beach, CA. This is Murphy with his cousin, a lab who is also named Murphy! They have the same last name too. We ended up referring to them as "Murphy north" and "Murphy south" the 3 days we were there
Murphy-south has a saltwater swimming pool in his backyard.
Batman imitation.
Near Mendecino, CA.
Standard travel position.
The Trees of Mystery! HUGE redwoods and TOTALLY and COMPLETELY dog friendly! Even the gift shop

There was a guy inside this statue who kept talking to Murphy -- poor puppy could not figure out where the voice was coming from.
These roots are 3000 years old.
They have a skytram/gondola ride that you take over the canopy. Murphy remains unconvinced about the enjoyability of gondola rides but enjoyed the view from the top
Found a chipmunk
They have a bunch of really cool carvings from the tales of paul bunyan.
I have a few more photos from Crater Lake and the Huntington Beach dog beach but they are on my boyfriends camera which he left in LA. So hopefully I will have those to post when we get it back
Murphy was the absolute PERFECT travel dog. He has camped before (at about 11 weeks). But we did so many new things on this trip - 8 hr driving days, ocean swimming, gondola rides, hotel stays, visiting family with a dog, etc... And he was amazing. He slept the whole time in the car, usually with his front paws/head on the middle console and his rear end on the backseat so he could be in on the action if anything exciting happened.
