Does anyone know of something out there that would deter your dogs from constantly wanting to get into the mulch. I have heard that mulch is very bad for dogs and my little one is always wanting to eat it. She has to be supervised whenever we let her out. Thanks for any ideas.

I wish I had words of wisdom, but after Connor having 2 bouts of espohagitis and countless times throwing up mulch we went right to the source: we replaced all the mulch with large size river rock.

I don't know but will love to see some ideas come in, we are about ready to just pave the whole back yard! Jessie thinks mulch and rocks are great toys!

I've got a rock/brick chewer and a mulch eater here too!

I swapped out all the mulch in our yard for pine straw - fighting the rocks and pebbles are a losing battle.

On our walks, she gets a treat to "leave it" with other people's mulch, but it only works on the walks. She's consumed so much mulch at this point, I only still fight her on it because my neighbors know she gets into it.
