The girls loved Yorkshire and so did we such lovely scenery and lots of lovely walks.
We stayed in a lovely old cottage at a little village called Staintondale it was in-between Whitby and Scarborough and the fish and chips are to die for in Yorkshire can recommend Whitby and the pub The Hayburn Wyke for the fish and chips such good value
Our favourite pub was at a place called Beckhole quite a steep climb down to it but worth it and the pub allowed dogs but no children this is a link to the pub if you want to take a look.www.beckhole.info
And the girls loved it in Robinshood Bay it was breathtaking there again a steep hill to get down to the bay.
Both Daisy and Charlie were very good girls but I think Patsy now knows why Charlie has a harness on its a good grab handle and Patsy had to grab that and her tail more than once but on the whole I was very proud of both of them.
And I don't think either of the girls wanted to go home as the last night Charlie had somehow got under our bed I just don't know how she got there as she can't really scramble because of her legs and hips I heard this noise and said to Ray that's sounds like it's under the bed and it was Charlie this was about 4am in the morning she could not get out so Ray pushed and I pulled and we got her out.
Charlie can be very stubbon like the time she lay down by the car and would not get in and when she just lay in the road outside the pub but thats Charlie for you.
And Daisy would not get up she stayed on the bed as much to say I am staying right here.
And who would say my girls are spoiled

Great pictures! Sounds like y'all had a great trip too and got to spend some time with some other members. Love the picture of Charlie with her head on the curb--she just makes herself comfortable anywhere! Beautiful scenery, and I can add these pictures to the list of the ones that make me want to move to England!

Oh great pics Maggie. Brought a smile to my face all of them. Well maybe not the one of me! Look knackered!! Cant think why? Must have been all that Charlie hauling I did! And oh dear the poor hall at the farm. What a disaster area but good one of Charlie barking. Some very good scenic ones especially Robin Hoods bay and Whitby abbey.
Oh and Charlie laying down - classic!

What a great holiday you and the girls had. Your Charlie is just the funniest character, I think she is making up time from her bad life before you came into her life. It cracks me up that Charlie went under the bed and Daisy refusing to get up. The scenery is just gorgeous.

gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous - the scenery and the pups!

My husband and I went to Exmoor National Park this summer during our stay in the UK and we were so disappointed that our goldens weren't able to join us on our hikes! I can tell your pups really enjoyed it!

Yorkshire is very dog friendly we could even take them in the pubs when we ate and they were both good just laid under the table:)

Beautiful scenery and of course beautiful girls! The cottages, the creek, the waterfall. Sigh.

Fish and chips, a pub (that means ALE) and the girls could go in toooo? Now you can picture me looking like Daisy and Charlie watching Ray eat.
I want to come back for my next life as your dog (and you think Charlie is bad;)).

I'm glad you all had fun. I love, love, love the pictures.

Oh, your pictures make me miss England...we lived there for three years at the end of the '80s. Writing this down makes me feel old! But we had a fantastic time (no kids, so free to do anything we wanted). Took a lot of hikes, also in Yorkshire! Thanks for sharing!
