Hi all,

Effective Feb 1st, 2018 I will be stepping back from some duties here on GRF. I will for the most part be just doing Admin duties. I have been in the GRF Mod team for almost 11 years now, as well as doing Admin duties too for 9 years, and I just need to step back a little. Sandy (Carolina Mom) will now be the Super Moderator Leader of the Moderator group and she will guide them with group discussions and decisions, along with the other general Moderator duties she does now. She oversees a very great Moderator group consisting of : 3Pebs3 ArchersMom, gdgli, Joanne & Asia, Kalhayd, LynnC, Neeko13 and swishywagga. If mod is not available for some reason I will fill in as needed in their group but for the most part these 9 Mods will be here to help oversee things out on this board. And I want to take this time to thank them for doing all they do here !!

Thanks Rob for everything you have done over the years and all the time you have put in over these last 11 years.

Outside of the Mod Team, the members don't know all the things you take care of. Appreciate all you've done and will continue to do for everyone here as well as the things you will continue to take care of for the Mod Team.

Just adding my thanks for your faithfulness and hard work. While I can’t pretend to understand what a moderator or administrator does, I appreciate your posts and pictures. Blessings!

Rob, you deserve this, and Sandy deserves the "promotion"! Also as a former moderator - I can attest to all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. I wasn't on nearly as often as Rob, and I was exhausted! LOL

Now go spend some well earned time loving up Hogan in your free time!

Rob....I don't know what a moderator does but I know it has to take a lot of work to keep this site together. I hope you enjoy your new found time and spend lots of time with Hogan and doing things you really enjoy. I've always enjoyed reading your posts.
P.S. - How does someone become a moderator???

When an opening in the Mod Team has occurred, The Mod group will look for members that have been active on the board for over a certain period of time, as well as their posts and activity. If no issues, and the team agrees, a Private Message is sent out to that member asking if they would like to join the team along with all the duties it will require.

I want to personally and publicly recognize Rob's work here on GRF. Back in 2009 when Verticalscope/Petguide.com acquired GRF, Rob was nothing but cooperative, helpful and patient with our team, especially myself. Looking back now (9 years already), it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Rob was instrumental in bridging our team with the mod/admin team at that time and the community at large. There was a lot of myths, rumors and uncertainty (which is understandable when some unknown entity comes into your "house") at that time but Rob and the entire GRF team and by far and large, the GRF community gave us a chance and welcomed us with open arms. Time has flown by quite a bit and Rob hasn't stopped chugging along. Thank you for all you have done and thank you for making my life very easy all these years here.

Yung

P.S. Don't worry GRF community...it's not like he's going too far. We have him signed (i.e. chained) to a lifetime contract with us. The terms of the agreement are the same as they were from day one. ; )

Thanks Yung,

Yep I will still be here for the technical background things the Mod team needs, I am just handing over the day to day leadership and decision making to the Mod team, and fill in when needed.
