I go to the store. Come home. DH tells me Max got half a loaf of french bread from Walmart.

:doh::mad::doh:

Will she be okay? I'm totally reconsidering leaving them alone with my husband, who apparently is still too much puppy to be left alone himself.

She should be fine. It's not like bread dough that will rise. I've had my vet tell me to give Daisy about 5 slices of bread once, when she swallowed a whole bone.

Bread is basically nothing, it practically dissolves with water. Maybe someone else here will disagree, but personally, I wouldn't worry.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

sorry...but HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

oh, what a clown. A half a loaf of bread! Well, I am sure she will be just fine...watch her but think she will be ok. The things they get into.

My friend's remote went missing. He looked everywhere and could not find any trace of it until his golden boy pooped and he saw the numbers 2, 3, 4 etc....oh and there is the "Samsung" logo...mystery solved! hahaha
It's an end to an extremely crappy day... but your post makes me feel better. She's acting normal SO FAR. I don't know what I'll do if she dies or something. It's already made me cry twice. :(

LMFAO!! Oh thank you for the laugh. LOL
Husband is to much of a puppy to leave by himself....that is funny. I hope Max is ok...just watch that tummy and don't let him drink to much water. I don't know much about bloat .... but keep an eye on him.

Oh honey...calm down....big hugs!!!!!!!!

I know what you are feeling...have been there and still go there. We worry about them so much. You love your baby! That is just so sweet.

Whenever something is wrong with Buddy, when I take him to the vet...my first question is...can he die? I know how you feel...it is such a worry. Your baby wont die from bread...she will be fine.

Trust me bread is not a worry. Well, other than the carb count. She might put on a few ounces if you know what I mean!! :D
He should be fine.... Mine ate a box of Q-tips...I figure in the next few days I will be finding Q-tips all over the yard.

Oh my God! I am just in stitches...why am I finding this so funny? hahahahahahaha
Awww hon, no more crying, k? She's going to be fine, I promise.

Daisy ate 1/2 of a party tray of cookies one day. Totally my fault, but she had like 40 cookies LOL, she ate every single one that was left.

I would only worry about bloat if it was bread dough. If she's fine now, she's fine :)

She may get a good case of the runs, that's been my experience with previous fosters.
Things Lambert has eaten and been fine:

An entire loaf of white bread.
A pound of cheese.
Half a shopping bag full of peanut shells.
A box of Ritz crackers.
A bag of hot dog rolls and hamburger rolls in an hour.

And if Max hadn't eaten that French bread I'm sure Lambert would have.
Caue is my counter surfer. His list of accomplishments includes:
- A corn cob (Yes it passed whole  )
- Several sticks of butter
- Chicken bones
- A pan full of sauted onions
- Gawd only knows what he has found on the beaches

Maxie will be fine.

don't worry, Robbie has eaten an entire loaf of bread on three occasions (you think I would learn not to leave it out!). he had a full belly for a day but was just fine all three times.
Oh, and I did have a foster dog that ate 18 hot dog buns in 2 minutes, half a loaf of bread, and then his regular dog food dinner. He layed with all four legs spread out and groaned. It would have eventually digested, but he would have been miserable until it did, so we took pity on him and gave him some hydrogen peroxide and he up chucked the whole mess.

He was fine.
Piper, the counter surfer extrordinair who has the reach of an ICBM and the chacteristics of a galactic black hole, got a half loaf of bread last Monday AND 2 days later, virtually an entire box of mini shredded wheats at 04:15 in the morning. Didnt phase her a bit.
