Lymphoma diet

:wavey:My 9 year old Golden was diagnosed with lymphoma. I had always fed him Iams but wanted to find out what would be good for his cancer. I found out dogs with cancer do need a special high protein diet. So, now I am cooking for him and giving him lots of vegetables (I never knew he would eat these!!). He is eating like a pig and is so happy! I had no ideas how to do something on my own so I consulted with a pet nutritionist who really helped me. I found this website www.askariel.com and did a consultation with Susan Davis. She gave me a lot of good tips on how to prepare Brutus' and he seems so much better. I would highly recommend her if you are looking to do a homemade diet for your dog.

I cooked for Megs a lot too when she was going through chemo and radiation. I still add home cooking to her meals, but also use Merrick canned senior and Honest Kitchen (both Preference and Force).

Good luck to you and Brutus. I hope he beats this [email protected] disease.
I have read that a good cancer-starving diet is one high in protein and low in carbs. Sounds like you are doing a great job for him.
