I hope I'm not being outta line, but several people mentioned those priceless Hoochisms for which Hooch was so renowned.

I wonder if the "older" folks among ya would mind sharing some of your favorite Hoochisms with us "younger" posters who unfortunately never got to know this great character.

I'm hoping this thread would be a nice way to honor his memory...

Good idea, Pudden! I also missed out on his presence on the forum but when I look through older posts I almost always cracked up laughing some of Hooch's responses! :)
Live NOW as you are gonna wish you had lived while your are waiting to die.” --Hoochism
When folks would ask about nuetering their males he would joke and post something like this:

RUN FIDO, RUN!!!!

Usually in big bright red letters! Not really a Hoochism but something he used to post often.

and the Live Now as you are gonna wish you had lived while your are waiting to die.
"You can't fix stupid"
YA JUST CAN'T FIX STUPID!!!!

BTW, can anyone find the post from the hosp. when he was so drugged???? It was just random words making no sense. And the typical response was, "Man, I want some of whatever they're giving you" Not a Hoochism....... but SO funny.
Here is a thread that has some of them and some happy funny memories.

He was such an Alabama fan....

Here it is.. Oh God, I have tears running down my face.. laughing and crying.
His son had wanted a Pug, so they finally got one. He would affectionately call the Pug "Buttface", because you could not tell the difference between his face and his butt.

He would also call Pugs, "Puntables".

When he was researching getting a heart transplant, he had a quote on his siggie that read something like:

"Take care of your heart now, because people aren't dying to give them away".

Me too Deb !!!!!!!
His heart gave out. What was so sad was he was at deaths door and was telling everyone goodbye. Then a couple of days later he was released from the hospital. Came home said he felt the best he had in years. Even did some things around the house fixing it up and going christmas shopping. Went to bed one Friday night and died in his sleep.

I remember making plans to go see him in the hospital dreading it but wanted to see him. Then him calling me telling me he was going home and to save my trip until it was really needed. Who knew it would be such a short time later. To this day I still feel guilty that I didnt go visit him.

I'm so sorry. I've always wondered who that man was in your signature, but never had the courage to ask. Thank you so much.

Oh my gosh Deb...me too...

Oh...and I will always think of him when I hear "Good Morning Sunshine"
I will always remember Hooch for this ; instead of this ' . He had trouble with his finger and typing ; was easier than '.

Oh, he much preferred Coke over Pepsi! And, I remember his most embarrassing moment, which was actually quite funny. Had something to do with a drive through and a toilet seat.
