Largest Fall Dog Show of the Midwest

Just wondering if anyone from here will attend this show? I can't wait! Sounds like so much fun! I just hope I don't get the flu from my son, so I can go! Keep your fingers crossed for me! BTW, he's feeling much better, and yes had the H1N1.

Event Description

The Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club (NEIKC) is proud to announce the Old Fort Cluster Dog Show at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Wednesday, October 28 through Sunday November1, 2009. This is the largest fall dog show in the Midwest featuring over 156 registered breeds. On both, Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, over 1700 dogs will be shown each day. Purina is pleased to once again be the official sponsor of The Old Fort Cluster Dog Show.

This dog show is hosted by the NEIKC along with LaPorte County Kennel Club, Sturgis Kennel Club, and Marion Kennel Club. Show hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, with Best in Show awarded at the end of each day’s judging. Also offered all 5 days is a Junior Handlership class with a Junior Handler Seminar given by Purina and the AKC on Sun., Nov.1. On Saturday Oct. 31, the Canine Good Citizen Exam and Canine Eye Evaluation will be offered. On Sat. evening Oct. 31 a Puppy Match will be held. The Parson Russell Terrier Association of America and the Indiana Collie Club will host Supported Entries on Sat .Oct. 31 and Sun. Nov. 1. Thirty vendors from all over the country will be offering dog related items such as antique collectibles, artwork, jewelry, clothing, books, leather goods, grooming supplies, monogramming, and much more. Admission for this year’s show is free, however we ask everyone attending to BRING A PET FOOD ITEM to be donated to Community Harvest Food Bank
This five-day dog show will not only showcase some of the most popular breeds in the country but will also give the public the opportunity to speak to owners, breeders, and handlers about these breeds. Some of the top show dogs in the country will be at this show, so come and see the dogs, judges, both national and international, and handlers you have seen on TV.
