Hello,
I need some advise. My 13 year old Dusty was just diagnosed with stage 2 kidney failure. Went in to see about removing a large skin tag thing and come out with a kidney failure diagnoses. Naturally the vet recommends prescription dog food, daily meds, quarterly blood work etc., which I totally understand. Unfortunately, we can not afford all of these things. I was hoping to find another brand of dog food that wasn't prescription that I could switch him to. I've been trying to understand the whole, low protein- low phosphorus options but really it's just going over my head with converting of nutrition contents. Can anyone provide a food recommendation? feeling very overwhelmed.
