just a fun match

But we did have fun. It was an AKC Sanctioned B match.
The Tito Monster got BOB (there were only 3 goldens there), and a rather nice group 1 over some great dogs. Of course, the judge wasn't a "real" judge so it didn't mean much. She's either provisional, or trying to become provisional, or something.
Didn't get best in show, however, it went to an adorable pug.
The good thing is, he really really showed well. Much better than our last fiasco at the (real) show.
He showed so well because I have decided to add an exciting addition to Team Tito....to be announced when plans are final.

Well done you two. I anxious to hear more about the new addition to team Tito.

Good for you. Especially for NOT going Best in Match - I've found that to be the kiss of death. Any of the dogs that I've shown who have gone Best in Match never finished. In fact, I was told that Lyric would be a nice pet and to keep her home.

Matches are an excellent training tool for dog AND handler. But I don't worry about the placements...
Hey congrats! Glad you didn't get the kiss of death ;)
yeah, he did get best adult in match last time...I think it's been haunting us....
ya know, the REALLY nice thing about this match is the "judges" really worked our butts off. We went around and around and around. Did some unusual patterns. Had to bring our dogs in to a freestack more than once. No bait a couple of times. It was hard work, and GREAT practice!
Way to go!!! They are a lot of fun!
Great job, Barb and Tito! And good job for not getting the "kiss of death". Apparently, Cruise and I have come close both times he has been in the ring. 2 Group 1's and down to the final 2-3 in BIM. lol.
And I wanna hear about Team Tito!!!! ;)

???? :scratchch I am very curious!
posted in another thread...
Ms. Kate Batzner-Northern will be handling the Tito Monster in the breed ring!!! Not sure when we'll be able to start with her, either end of October or into the November shows. She's going to do a ring-side pickup, so I don't lose my obedience/agility/dock diving/field buddy!!!
I'm very excited about it.
