Jo Ellen and Chris, he sure was. I have no idea what happened to him. I think it was aliens that came down and captured him. They left me with a wonderful replacement though. Same temperment, same kind face. Just bigger. Maybe they used a grow ray on him or a shrink ray on the rest of the world.... Hmmmmmm
Miss Marstar and BeauShel, thank you
I have no idea how I got so lucky. I have expected a period of absolute crazy energy, especially after I get home from work, but that hasn't happened so far. KNOCK ON WOOD!!! He is steady and consistent. If I don't want to play, he is content to lay on the bed or the couch with me. If I am interested in playing with him, he is right there. He loves to walk me in the evenings. He holds the leash and gently pulls all the way down the road. On the way back (we walk 2 miles at night) we work on his heel and sit for the show ring. He is coming along very quickly.
He is my love and I wouldn't be surprised if Jake wasn't part Quincy who left me for the bridge more than 20 years ago. He certainly does have the same way about him that Quincy did. I still miss him. Jake has finally removed the pain and emptiness and reminded me of all the good times I had with Quincy.
