Is it safe to give deworming treatments back to back? The first three treatments do not seem to be enough. He still has the goopy stuff in his eyes. :(

Thanks!!

What does having eye dirt to do with worms?

I'm always wiping stuff from the corner of Bayne's eyes and also my cats too..... they don't have worms.

Dogs should be dewormed monthly to prevent heartworm, roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm. Talk to your vet to discuss the best options for your dog.

Worming meds dont have anything to do with eye gunk...if you think his eyes are excessively gooey. Then get to the vet to be sure he doesnt have a serious problem.

I agree-I am not sure what having worms has to do with eye gunk. What deworming medication is he on, and what kind of worms did the vet say he has?

The CDC recommends deworming pups every 2 weeks, starting at 2 weeks of age until 3 months. Then if you are giving Heartgard Plus or Sentinel, you would also be deworming monthly. But what does eye goo have to do with intestinal parasites?
