Dogs should be dewormed monthly to prevent heartworm, roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm. Talk to your vet to discuss the best options for your dog.
Worming meds dont have anything to do with eye gunk...if you think his eyes are excessively gooey. Then get to the vet to be sure he doesnt have a serious problem.
The CDC recommends deworming pups every 2 weeks, starting at 2 weeks of age until 3 months. Then if you are giving Heartgard Plus or Sentinel, you would also be deworming monthly. But what does eye goo have to do with intestinal parasites?
