I've been looking into possible rescues but also was wanting a reputable breeder in case we go that route instead. We aren't wanting to show or anything, just a family pet. I'm more interested in an older dog but my fiance is leaning more towards a puppy and this is supposed to be his choice and a dog he picks out so I don't want to make all the decisions and would like to see him pick out a dog.

We ran into someone at a Charlotte dog park a few months ago when visiting with a beautiful golden and he mentioned he got him from this breeder:

The dogs are beautiful, no doubt, and they seem like a reputable breeder to me but I could be missing something that maybe others are more familiar with. Any info good or bad would be very helpful.

I'm interested in Joanne and Tanglewood Goldens as well. I will be calling tomorrow to verify if there is any availability left in either of her upcoming litters.

Please keep us posted on your experiences.

If you have an interest in rescues then consider Adopt a Golden Atlanta. http://www.adoptagoldenatlanta.com/ they are a great rescue group in Atlanta and they are full of beautiful goldens who are in need of a good home. A lot of these poor dogs are there because of the economic condition of Atlanta and the nation.

I know they hold meet and greets on the first Sunday of every month in Buckhead. It is about 4 hours ride from Charlotte. I have read about people adopting from Baltimore and Williamsburn and driving down. So, it is not uncommon to see them go out of state.

Best of luck !
