I had my 6 month old puppy fixed last week. Its so hard to keep her still and I've had her in twice to have blood drawn out of her wound. Has anyone else had this problem?

I don't know how common this is. I have had every one of the rescues that I take in fixed before placing them for adoption and have never had to take them back in to have the wound drained. What does your vet say? Is it possible to get a second opinion?
Are you keeping her quiet and calm? Because sometimes over activity can cause problems with the wounds from the surgery.
I think she has been to active. But I'm kenneling her now and its hard for her. I was just wondering if it would fix itself. I go into the vet tomorrow and I know they will have to drain again I can feel it. I haven't talked to the vet they have just taken Roxie back and drained it.
My last foster was too active and the incision opened, just the surface. It's important to crate them even if they don't like it.
Nice large marrow bone will keep my puppy happy & still for a long time.
Crating and meals out of a KONG. Restricted activity is for her own good right now. The vet can also give a mild sedative if needed.
