This past Sunday, I had a freak accident that resulted in my shoulder being broken. I now have my arm and shoulder in a fancy sling affair. Jake has been amazing these past few days as if can sense something is wrong. If I sit down, he is usually right up on my lap with his paws but now not at all. The boy that has energy to burn has been laying on my feet. He has left me alone with his toys, etc. I swear he senses something and is being the perfect boy. He comes up to my hand poking out of the sling and gently licks it instead of mouthing it like he normally would. I am soooo impressed!!

My son is very sick with the flu. Usually Luck is kinda distant to him. You will not see my son without Luck on him. He lays his head on his belly and just watches him. Very cute!

Jake is a very handsome man!

Good Boy Jake! Sorry that you injured yourself. My Sam was the same as your Jake and from a young age, very intuitive. I'm afraid Ike, my ever nutty pup would not be so calm...and he's almost 3.

Awwww, that is so Golden. I'm sorry you are hurting.

A couple of years ago I had a slightly broken arm and was also in a sling. Not a fancy one, though. It was late when we got back from the emergency room and because I had to sleep sitting up, I bunked in the guest room. I was feeling a little sorry for myself, sitting there in the dark, going over what I should have done to avoid this when Penny came in and got on the bed. She snuggled her back against my legs and never moved all night. Her butt was conveniently located for scritching. It was a comfort.
