Lucy is just over a year old now and she has matured wonderfully - we thought she was ready to leave out of the crate but she chews up the edges of the carpets - she also chews up shoes- other than that she is fine

Jaime didnt stop chewing up everything until she was 3. Jaime would chew holes in the wall, chew up the woodwork - electrical cords everything.

We tried the sour apple but it does not last long enough to susatin their aversion-

I really hate leaving her in the crate but we just sprung for new carpets

any suggestions are very much appreciated

The only way Lucky would stop chewing my carpet is when I sprayed his tongue with 'Bitter Apple" while he was chewing.

I would say "no" first, and then he'd get it if he didn't stop or if he started up again. It sounds cruel but it isn't...just tastes bad and he stopped it completely after a couple episodes. He seemed to listen to "no" a bit better too.......
