Breeze had her recheck for CERF October 24th. I sent in the paperwork the following Monday the 26th. I checked on the OFA website and it is not showing up. Am I pushing it or should I give them a call?

Have you even gotten your new CERF cert yet? OFA is a repository, and cannot post until they receive the info from CERF in Urbana. It does take a several weeks, as uploads are batched.

Okay, thanks all, I'll check CERF then wait for the certificate before I freak out.

Edit: I just checked CERF and it is listed, so I'm not as worried now. Thanks for the suggestion, I actually forgot CERF had it's own webpage, that's why I went to OFFA.

Glad its up there now. As far as OFA I called when I was waiting for Mira's... They pointed me to this info on their webpage... Also unless you have something else already in OFA (ie hips, elbows)they will not show up...

While CERF maintains its own database, the OFA and CERF have a positive working relationship, and CERF shares data electronically with the OFA. Once a month, CERF sends the OFA an update file containing all dogs which have been issued a CERF eye clearance. Based on matching registration numbers, all dogs on the CERF file with existing OFA records have their CERF data imported into the OFA database, and the CERF results appear on the OFA website.

Thanks for the info. I actually received my CERF certificate yesterday. What do you all do with all the certificates and registration papers? I have tons of them (several on dogs that have gone to the bridge, but I can't bring myself to throw them away) in an envelope in the gun/fire safe.

I bought an accordian type file and have one slot for each dog - I put all of their important papers in there (registrations, OFA certs, etc.) - I also scan the originals into my laptop in case I ever lost or destroyed my originals and bring copies to my vet for in their files - hopefully covering all my bases if I should ever lose everything (including my mind?)

That's a GREAT idea, scanning them onto the computer! Now I have an after training on Saturday project.
