I have a 2 months old puppy that arrived to our house last friday. Since the arrival, he's been having soft stool, and at one point he has a nice firm stool, but then after that he had a really soft mushy stool (almost no form). It firms up again after that but still soft. Tonight (27/10/09 around 9pm), he had a really soft mushy stool again.
How long does stress-related diarrhea/soft stool normally last? It's been 4 days since he arrived and he only had a nice firm stool once, really mushy stool twice, and the rest is soft but still formed. (still easy to pick up but would leave a mess behind).
I dont see any change in his behavior, he is still very active.
Should i fast the puppy to let the stomach rest? or should i give bland food (rice and boiled chicken) as some website suggested?
I tried looking for canned pumpkin but I couldn't find one, would it work with fresh pumpkin?
I have similar thread in puppy section that I posted a few days ago when my puppy had his first soft mushy stool. When he has a really soft stool again tonight, I thought I post here in general section as maybe some of you whose puppies are adult now maybe have an experience or suggestion what to do...
