As I have previously posted, if I got a puppy it would have to be left for 4 hours at a time. I work from 8:15-12:00, then have to go back for 1:00-4:05. I can come home at lunchtime or hire a dogwalker/petsitter.
I can be off witht he pup for the first 2 weeks, but then I have to go back to work.
I'm just worried if this is too long to leave it in a crate- will it develop a urinary infection?
I only work 4 days a week, and one other day I can pay for it to go to daycare
thanks, and any tips would be great

Your pup should be fine. I would work naptimes into the routine that are about the same times, make them shorter at first then longer so the first day you're back to work it's part of the routine (in other words, don't start crating for four hours on the first day you HAVE to).

Many people have to work and get a pup and do just fine!

IMO, the puppy would probably pee in it's crate before it would hold it long enough to get a UTI.
