Great question. I'll bet you get a wide range of answers. For me I think that at 18 months they will be a physical maturaty and you any changes after that will be minimal. I think it takes a full three years before they are mentally mature. Still goofy moments but you can really start to see the dog who will live out his days with you.
Ok. I think Jackson is almost there. But, when we are at shows, people say that he still hasn't matured fully yet. He chest hasn't come out and his chest.
I don't know the answer to that, either, but I will say that Tito will be 2 in March, and within the past 2 or 3 months he's changed a LOT physically, broadening thru the chest, ribs, and to our surprise, even his skull has gotten a little broader.
I would say 2-3 years, at least physically. Some of them even more. My pups father matured at 4 years. But for what I have seen they always act like puppies, specially around one!
Physically and mentally are two whole separate ball parks!! I'd say physically around 2 years old.. mentally.. well, I'm not holding my breath that it'll happen anytime soon with mine.
When you look at him and he looks exactly the same like 6 months ago.
