Ok, I know, stupid question. Who gets a dog and doesn't know how to clean their ears, right? Well, me. I looked at Murphy's ears today and they are full of nasty wax! But I really just have no clue how to clean them. I just know qtips are bad. So, any suggestions?

You buy dog ear cleaner. You cup the ear and squirt a small amount of solution in them and massage the base of the ear (you want the solution to get into the canal). When you are done massaging let the dog shake his/her head. You can buy little cotton pad things to wipe the gunk out with the solution.

We use the same method as GoldenSail, but at the end I use baby wipes (unscented) over my finger tip to clean out all the gunk. Don't be afraid to go deep with your finger, it's disgusting when the blacky brown gunk comes out but think of how much better Murphy will feel when it's all clean!
