Is there any way I can avoid a shoulder surgery for my 6mo. old puppy? I know there are supplement kits that say they do, but has anyone been successful? What other alternatives would I have for him?

I've had two dogs with OCD. One in the shoulder, the other - Trip in the elbow. Both dogs had surgery. Trip we tried crate rest and suppliments. Needless to say they didn't work. The shoulder surgery resulted in a pain free, sound dog. The elbow was too evassive hence, Trip is not fully sound. If I had to do it again, I would go the same route with both dogs.
