Hi,I'm new here

I was searching the web for dog forums and this one seemed really friendly so I thought I would try it out!My name is Christy and my husband of 7 yrs is Carl.We have 2 children,Christopher is 4 and Callie is 1!We live on the coast of Maine!About 2 yrs ago my black lab passed on from cancer and about 1 yr ago my 2 dachshunds passed from old age.I had all 3 since I was really young!We have always loved Goldens and how they are friendly and great family dogs so we have decided to get a puppy!So we called the lady we planned to buy from and she has puppies ready for Christmas,we thought he would be a great Christmas gift for the kids!(and us

)I included a picture of all the pups,she had 10!And than the bottom pics are of the 2 boys we can choose from,cause we want a boy!So Hi and sorry the story was a lil long

Welcome to the forum! Cute, cute pups! Do you have names picked out? Is it a surprise for the kids?

Hi and welcome!
New puppies are so exciting, but may I make a suggestion?
Give the kids all the puppy "fixings" for Christmas. The bowls, toys, crate, the whole works.
Then after the holiday has passed and things have settled down, bring home the puppy.
It's really too much for a little baby like that to come into the house for Christmas.

It's a total surprise for the kids!We think we have settled on Cody for a name,don't know for sure about a pedigree name tho!

Thanks for the suggestion hotel4dogs!!!I didn't even think of the excitement of it for the puppy!

Welcome from the Coast of Maine! A Puppy for Christmas! I would agree with the others about it being maybe too much for a wee one...during everything else...depending on how busy your Christmas will be. We brought Tailer home Christmas Day, but it's just Hubby n Me. Good Luck! I can't wait to meet Cody!

I'm all the way up the coast in Calais. LibertyME is in Brewer, Jwem is in Hampden, EddieME is in OOB there are others but the names escape me at the moment. :doh:
