Hello everyone! I'm sorry to say that I found this website quite some time ago just searching the web for information for my then ten-year-old Golden - Casey. She had just had a very severe bout of pancreatitis...spent 9 days in the 'hospital', and we took her home and our vet was going to come to our house in what we thought would be a couple of days to have her put to sleep. She was our baby and we wanted her to have a day or so at her home and with her 8-year old golden sister...Bailey. She couldn't walk when we got her home, but she loved to be outside so we put her on a quilt outside in her favorite spot. In what we call a miracle....the next morning we could see just a oh so small improvement, but enough to know that this was not her time.

In searching the web during this time...digging for info on pancreatitis...I came across this web-site and gathered so much information, but never posted. Honestly, I just used my work computer (don't tell anybody!), but have finally gotten my home computer up and going good, so thought it was time to really check in.

Back to the story of Casey...we had 2 1/2 MORE years with Casey, but on 9/8/09, she finally lost her battle with kidney failure. She would have been 12 the next week. She was our baby...as is Bailey who will now be 10 Christmas Day.

Plus, now we have a 7 month-old golden - Ellie! Like everybody on this web-site...these doggies are our babies!

So..here's my introduction...I hope to be around alot now that I'm hooked up!

I will say 'thanks' to everybody on this web-site...like I said..while I never posted during Casey's illness...I gathered SO much useful information...and still do.

And..while I work with computers all day long..I really don't know much about setting things up...so bear with me!

Take care!

So sorry for your loss of Casey, she sounds like she was was a fighter. Like you, too many of us have felt the pangs of losing our best friend and have shared that love by bringing a new best friend into our home. We'd love to see pics of Casey, Bailey, and your new little girl Ellie.
