Just joined this forum. I don't have a lot of computer time but will be on periodically.

Last May we lost our 13-year-old Saige, my best friend. Our home was so empty. My daughter brought us Bella (5 mos) and she now fills the home with love and laughter. So must energy, but I am getting more exercise now which is a very good thing. I feel that Saige is still here in Spirit and had something to do with how Bella found us!

I really enjoy reading all the conversations and think it is a great way to share advice and stories about these wonderful friends or ours.

Welcome to the forum,
Bella is adorable and I am sure that Saige is still there teaching Bella. Glad you have joined us. If you have time I would love to see a picture of Saige, she sounds like she was an amazing girl.

I have 3 goldens Daisy, Bama and Pawley. Also have an american eskimo Shelby and three cats. Also do rescue work for our local golden rescue.

Beautiful Family

What a beautiful pack you have! Daisy reminds me of Saige. I admire and appreciate you and everyone that works with the rescue organizations. Thank you!

I've attached a picture of her when she was about 8 in springtime in the mountains when the snow was thawing.

We also have 2 cats, Fonzie and Alice, who by the way are not interested in the least with Bella or her stuffed duck and bones. Gus, the parrot, is not intimidated by any of us!

Welcome to the forum. Very sorry for your loss of Saige. I'm glad you opened your home to another golden. It does really help ease the pain of loosing a beloved pet. Bella looks like a very cute pup. Looking forward to seeing lots more pictures of here.

Welcome. It is so hard to lose an old friend but a new friend does help some. We never forget them and I swear they do teach the new dogs. We lost our first golden, Goldie, two weeks before christmas 2007. She was 12 years old. I live in Vancouver, Washington and we have two goldens Molly age 7 and Bailey age 2.

Sorry to hear about Goldie especially at that time of year. There is just something about Goldens. My daughter wanted a Golden when she was 10 and I broke down and that is when we got Saige. She was only 5 weeks and really too early I believe as she needed a lot of socializing I believe her parents would have given her. But she was a blessing and I will probably never be without one or a few by my side. Thank you for your your welcome and nice to hear from folks in the northwest. My daughter is now 25 and lives with her husband and my granddaughter and grand golden, Hendrix!

Bella is just gorgeous! We are over in Tacoma, WA, with our 10.5 mo old Golden, Ellie. Although it is a bit of a trek from Orting, there is a great dog park in Pierce County at Ft. Steilacoom! Also, lots of great swimming.
