Hello my golden friends. :wavey: I havent been on since August so I wanted to come by to say hello. My golden "Sara" is now 5 and this year she had shed so bad. I had her on frontline in the past and this year I went to advantix. Im not sure if this med was to strong for her. She has hair but it isnt full like most goldens. Any suggestions as to maybe why???

Welcome back. I've never heard of flea/tick meds causing shedding. It may be worth a trip to the vet to have her checked out.

Yeah I may have to do that. Im just not to sure whether it may of been the med or maybe she is ready to get her winter coat in. Im not to sure. Would they have their winter coat by now?

Welcome again. My Abby is a fieldy, too. Not so much coat. I doubt it is the Advantix, but I don't know. Is she shedding alot? Maybe a trip to the vet is in order?

It could be a low thyroid. You should have a full thyroid panel done on her. Havent ever heard of flea meds causing a hair loss.
