:)Hello I live in Hassocks, nr Brighton, Sussex in the UK. Our Daisy is our second Golden Retriever and completely different to our last. Whilst our first Golden was always on the go, Daisy is calmer, which is lovely, but boy is she stubborn at times.
I've joined this forum because I am after some advice so any help would be very much appreciated. She is only 6 month old, so still a young puppy, but when on walks she will flop. Initially she did this and our trainer at puppy classes said to let her rest, which we did, but now we find she will flop several times on our walk just to watch the world go by, even just outside our back gate. We have tried treats to encourage her up and ignoring her, but she gets up when she feels like it. She is well behaved and knows her commands but chooses to ignore them. She wears a conventional collar, wonder if a halter would give us more control, but she does not pull on her lead, we just need something to help us get her up and moving.
