I am really excited to find this site as it looks to contain a wealth of information.

I hope to be getting a Golden puppy in the next 3-4 months and "officially" join the club!

If you are interested in adopting a rescue check out:

2. DFW Metro Golden Retriever Rescue (www.rescuegoldens.org).
Lots of great goldens who need a good home and loving family.

If you want, consider attending GRRNT's annual picnic on Oct. 24 at Meadowmere Park at Lake Grapevine. Details and pre-registration will be on the GRRNT website soon. You can see hundreds of goldens playing off leash as well as some foster dogs looking for their adoptive families. They will have special bandanas so you can find them and meet them!

I won't be going the rescue route this time and have selected a breeder already.

I'll be joining some local retriever clubs in the DFW area and might meet some of you fellow Texans!
