I don't know if I should stop this, but Bailey is growling the turkeys that live in the woods behind my house. They will often come right up to the house and it stresses Bailey out. Bailey is growling at the turkeys and does not take her eyes off of them until they are gone. There are about 35-40 of them and they are pretty darn big. I'm assuming she is protecting the house. Do I stop her from growling at them? Will her protecting the house cause further problems?

We have lots of very large wild turkeys that come into our yard, especially during the winter, and we actually let the dogs bark and growl at them. They leave the nastiest poops on our lawn and we really would prefer if they didn't come in our yard all the time. It doesn't help that our neighbors feed them.

This is the first year I've seen turkey's. I've seen fox, a wolf, ton of deer, possums, pheasents and we even had a bear 7 years ago in my back yard. Good thing we have Bailey to keep us safe. :)

I would let her growl to protect the property. Hopefully it will scare them away. But I would not let her out in the yard because they can be very mean.
