....and carrying them around until they die of shock:/. We live in a brand new development in a wildland/park interface area. Our neighbours on both sides have had some mouse issues, but so far we've been great....until tonight...
On the upside, Fuzzy is some kind of ninja-dog! He's so very fast that he jumped up from a nap on the livingroom rug and caught a mouse as it ran down the stairs. Impressive, and he ran outside with his prize. Ok, that's awful, but my husband grew up on a farm and he was pretty proud of Fuzzy for doing his part to help out. Great. Except then Fuzzy came back in and I offered him a milkbone- whereupon he spat out the mouse! He was STILL carrying it! And the poor mouse was covered in slobber and looked to be having a heart attack! My husband had to take it and put it down, Fuzzy just wanted another milkbone...
So our mousing golden is fast as heck (which is great!)- but just carries them around. So. Essentially useless. And we now have to go get some traps. Or a cat. And worm Fuzzy. And by the way- totally grossed out!! Ewwww!!
