Hello,
We just got back from the Goldenrama afternoon here in Atlanta. One of the local Golden Rescue Groups. Adopt A Golden Atlanta put on the celebration in a large field at the Concorde Office Park on the Northside of Atlanta.
While we did not have a rescued golden we were welcomed to enjoy the day. They had many exhibitors, a studio photographer, Vet, Homeland Security, a pet communicator, a couple of dog food companies. They had golden games, treats and they had a musical sitting contest and costume contest.
Of course, they had their gallery of Goldens that were up for adoption along with the Great Pyrennes group. Their website is http://www.adoptagoldenatlanta.com/ . I am sure there will be a lot of photos that will be posted from the celebration on the website. I will give them a lot of credit. They do certainly do a great marketing campaign to raise money and awareness for their rescue group with events, gifts and shirts and they certainly have take a lot of rescues into the fold.
I am going to guess there were around 150 to 200 goldens and families participating. Here are a few photos......The first two photos are of our boy Riley who is 10 months old.
