I first got onto the WWW in 1995 and quickly discovered a site called Golden Retrievers In Cyber Space. I believe it may have the first, or one of the first, sites for golden retriever rescue on the young public internet. A couple in California ran a rescue, out of their home, for goldens and had a very comprehensive site for those early days of the World Wide Web. They also provided a forever home for several older goldens. It was really a nice piece of work in a time when so many sites were so lacking in content.

It seems to have disappeared from the Net. Does anyone out there know what may have happened to the site (or the couple)?

The links are all over the place, but they haven't worked since I first started seeing them in early 2005.
But the site still has a hosting place holder. Usually, when I see that, I think that some payments were missed, or they've just let the domain name go.

This was about my mother (and father, but my mother ran Golden Retrievers in Cyberspace and golden-retriever.com - my dad also had a full-time job aside from this). They rescued senior and special needs goldens and also had property in central California they named Goldentown, where they had hoped to spend their retirement with goldens living out their best lives.
