Today I took Flora to a nearby forest preserve, and it was the first time we'd ever been there. It was quite beautiful and had some nice grassy trails, and best of all... it was completely deserted. My favorite kind of place. Anyhow, I had the camera with me and got a few good shots, and a lot of so-so shots. :p:

Wow, she's grown up so much...what a beauty.
That looks like a great place to spend the day with your golden. Flora looks like she was having fun exploring and taking all the new smells.

Flora looks like she had lots of fun! She's so grown up now and has such a pretty coat! Wish my Mia had a longer coat like that... :)
What a pretty girl!!!! Beautiful golden against the green. Stunning!
Flora is beautiful! Great shots that you took :) Looks like it was a wonderful day and a wonderful place too!
I love her little mud boots. They can find any little spot of mud in a field. She has grown up to be a very pretty girl.

Flora is beautiful! They were all good shots of her. :D
What great pics! The 4th one, where Flora has those sticky seedpods on her head. Boy, am I familiar with THOSE! On a trip to our dogpark one Saturday, Lacey went wandering. When she FINALLY came back, I swear, she was was absolutely COVERED with those sticky seedpods, most in her tail and "tailfeathers" and behind her ears all stuck in her fur. Good grief, it must have taken me 45 mins. to remove them all!

Regardless, she sure was a happy doggie!
Pretty girl Flora looks like she had alot of fun!!
Thanks for all the nice comments about Flora! She really has grown up into quite a pretty lady, IMO. ;)

Carol/Beaushel, I love the term mudboots! Flora sought out the only little puddle of mud in the whole area and made it her mission to get muddy. Goofy girl.

:bowl: They must have radar for those things, because I swear, every off-leash walk we take Flora always ends up with those seedpods all over her body. Lacey must have been a mess - they're pretty difficult to get out of the tailfeathers and behind the ears. I find they're a little easier to remove when the fur is wet.
