Today Zippy had his first puppy tooth out, it just fell off and he spit it out from his mouth and the new one (so tiny) was already underneath...oh my he is growing so fast :S...Any suggestions or anything that I should do? How much time until all the teeth are changed?

They will start coming out pretty quickly. When Noah lost a good amount of his he walked arounf smacking his gums.

We would freeze a rope toy, get it all wet, freeze it and it acts like a teether. Helps sooth the area that just lost a tooth and helps the gums where a new one is coming up.

I'd also freeze wash cloths and towels he can suck on.

Thanks, for e few days now he was chewing his toys like crazy and he destroyed almost every stuffed toy he has, didn't realize this was the reason till today...I'm gonna freeze his rope toy so it would be easier for him

I see you've already figured it out, but you're in for a huge spike in chewing. You can't trust what he's learned so far about what's OK to chew and what isn't, so safety is a concern too.

Our dogs have always liked to get their baby teeth out on Nylabones. They really like to sit and grind away at their molars with one. Just a thought.

Our pup developed an obsession with her deer antler when she started loosing her baby teeth. If you can find them, they last forever, so it can be cheaper than constantly replacing other chew toys.

I also put carrots in the freezer and then let Bama go to town once it was frozen. Make sure you put a towel under him because he will make a big mess. But it will keep him entertained.

Bailey is 20 weeks old today and his mouth smells like--poop!! He isn't eating poop, so I am wondering if it is due to the blood in his mouth from his teeth. Does anyone else notice any mouth odors during teething? This just started even though he has lost several teeth already.

As I was typing this I see Bailey pawing at the carpet. I go to see what he is doing and there is a tooth on the floor; only the third we have ever seen!

We still have a couple of Tuck's baby teeth. The adult ones do start to come in pretty quickly. As others have said, be prepared for a huge chewing phase for the next several weeks. Tucker loved frozen washcloths while he was teething.
