PetSmart Voluntarily Recalls Dentley's Beef Hooves

PetSmart (NASDAQ: PETM) is voluntarily recalling two Dentley’s Beef Hoof products for potential salmonella contamination. The products were manufactured by Pet Carousel, Inc. in Sanger, Calif.

FDA Health Alert for Certain Pet Treats Made by Pet Carousel

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is issuing this health alert to warn consumers not to use Pig Ears and Beef Hooves pet treats manufactured by Pet Carousel because the products may be contaminated with Salmonella. The products were distributed nationwide in both bulk and retail packaging for sale in pet food and retail chain stores. Pet Carousel is based in Sanger, Calif.

Sorry Paula, I didn't see it. I wasn't going to bother and then I thought about the dogs...I wouldn't want a dog to get sick if I had the info and didn't share.

The mods can remove mine.

After his latest bout of pancreatitis Copper doesn't get any treats other than milk bones, but thanks for posting this.
I'm sure I would have been one of those who picked these up. I shall inform DH too who might still sneak a "goodie" into the grocery cart.

Teva Animal Health Expands Ketamine (anesthesia) Recall

I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but it is a recall of an often-used anesthetic (looks like all batches, link attached).

Very important for those of us who have goldens that will be undergoing surgery soon. I'm sure our vets are on top of this, but as I like to say each year, every year, an informed owner, is a good owner!
