The only kind of bones that our dogs get are marrow bones. Anything like rawhide, pig ears, or anything else can be way too dangerous. I would never chance it. They do occasionally get antlers, though.
Our dogs like marrow bones. I had been giving them rib bones but Rascal scarfed down a two inch section whole last weekend and we had to worry about a blockage so there is a ban on those for now.
They really aren't that interested in Nylabones and I am nervous of rawhides so they don't get those.
Marrow bones and bully sticks. If you get the marrow bones, make sure you get the long ones, like 6". You can ask your butcher at your grocery store to cut them special for you. The smaller ones that are like donut rings are risky -- Daisy once got one wrapped around her lower jaw. Had to take her to the vet at midnight to get it taken off -- very expensive.
