Hi, recently when I visit the forum I can generally view the main page but when I try to view another the site freezes and IE stops responding. Sometimes I have to restart it a few times. I wondered if it is a site issue or my internet? Anyone else having this problem?

Not having any problems today with IE. Have you deleted your temperary internet files lately? Somtimes that will do wonders for IE performance.

No issues with IE on my home computer (IE8) or at work (IE7).
I would to as Alan mentioned and trying deleting your temp files, cookies, and history in your IE and see if that helps.

You could also switch to Firefox. I have a Mac, but most PC users I know report that it's faster and more stable. I believe it also has some security advantages.

Yep, did all that and no real difference. It's the only web site that does it and it's a recent thing. Being doing it for about a week. Just wondered if anyone elses was the same or just me.

I had the same thing happen this weekend while out of town, assumed it was just me. I haven't had any problems since then. It was just GRF, and only when trying to view a thread or message. Main page loaded fine. I was using a PC with internet explorer and AT&T DSL.

As Tippykayak said Firefox does seem to work faster and with less problems than IE. I am stuck with IE at work but use Firefox on my home PC's. It is free if you are interested.

Thanks re comments. I may give firefox a try. Have friends who use it too but am so used to explorer. Like NapaValleyGolden it only happens when I try to leave the main page. Just wondered if it was a forum issue but obviously not!

I believe the computer I was using was IE 6, but not positive. I'll check next time I'm there.

I am using IE 8. Still troubled with this issue. sometimes can surf for a while before it hangs!
