Hi. So glad to have found this site. 18 months ago we adopted Sammy, our 5 1/2 year old golden/great pyranees rescue who is lonely. After looking for another adult dog as a friend for him we have decided to welcome a puppy golden retriever into our home. We pick up Buddy, now 11 weeks old, in a couple of days and I've been reading everything I can online about puppy training, safe toys, socialization, etc. I feel like we are expecting a baby....Perhaps that sounds dumb but that's the way it is. I'm looking forward to reading threads and getting advice on this forum.

Welcome to the forum. 
Even though I've never had children, I think getting a puppy is probably somewhat similar to having a baby. It's a lot of work, but the payoff is great.
We'd love to see pics of Sammy and your puppy to be!
