My cousin is looking for and "English" golden retriever. We live in northeastern Pennsylvania. I'm not sure what distance she is willing to drive, but I figured it was worht a try to ask for her.

Have her call or look on Kinship Companions in WI they have nice dogs.
That website gave me a very uneasy feeling...seems they will quite happily ship puppies off as far as you like, it is sad that a breeder would be willing to send off a precious puppy to a owner they have never met. Forgive me if I am wrong but their breeding program seems a little chaotic, it is almost like they 'collect' golden retrievers, some with quite nice pedigrees, but don't seem to pull it together and I don't understand where they are going with it...I also don't like the way they are happy to 'sacrifice' adult dogs to keep their breeding program 'on it's toes'...how horrid! Some of their descriptions of 'Choice European Blend Golden Retrievers' and 'Premium White Imported Golden Retrievers' are laughable...I would love to know what breeders in the UK make of all this nonsense that goes on. Also, the fact that they state a selling point of getting a 'starter' puppy is that you can 'crate it twice as long' makes me feel very sad. I think the ideal for most decent breeders is that the puppy is as much part of family life as is possible and would try as hard as they could to find owners that don't have to cage a puppy for long periods, never mind actually trying to use it as a selling point! That may not mean much to many people, it just doesn't sit right with me.

Above and beyond all of that I can't see a mention of what health tests they carry out on their breeding dogs...I haven't had chance to look at every page so could be wrong...
