I think that is a great idea. A big boy puppy so Roxy can have a little brother. Good idea Denise. Do you know of anyone with puppies? Maybe you can take Roxy to meet some to see how she would act. If not a puppy maybe a rescue dog. There are some younger dogs that would make a great addition to your family. And you wouldnt have to go thru that potty training again. LOL
I've always told B that an engagement ring around a puppy's neck would be ideal! He has a list of breeders that I okay! I really believe in the ring, but a puppy in place of a diamond on the ring would be more than ideal!
Oh yeah puppy over a ring any day. My friend has the best of both worlds. She got a puppy in April and last month her fiance tied a ring to the puppy's collar and surprised her with a picnic and a proposal...how romantic is that?
I was thinking about this earlier and I think a puppy and a ring is in order. You can get a smaller diamond and still get a puppy. Then get a really fancy wedding band.
I never really understood the fascination with diamond rings. I think it would be nice to have some small engagement gift that you'll have forever, but it doesn't need to be big or lavish. Just a remembrance of the day you got engaged. If you're going to spend real money, a puppy is a great way to go!
I'd say 'Puppy' too. You can get a very nice inexpensive cubic zirconia for now and replace it one day with the 'real thing'. I didn't get my diamond until our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I wore a zirconia and no one new the difference.
It's so hard to cuddle with a ring....go with the puppy.
I like the CZ idea. They have some real beauties out there now. Not only that but you can pick a good setting and just replace the stone later on. That way you still have the sentiment of 'the ring'.
Oh and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
