Do any of your dogs eat dirt? Ours ate a few leaves from time to time or a little grass and then this weekend decided to eat a grass and dirt tuft of the lawn he has been digging up. His poop looks like dirt and is softer after this. Any suggestions?

Daisy eats alittle dirt every now and then but it doesnt bother her.

a few weeks ago put soil down for grass seed

they ate it and next day black poo

they stopped by themselves

Magoo used too all the time- not as much anymore. still eats the grass though!

My Winslow is 10 months and up until about a month ago, he constantly ate dirt. Finally for some reason he stopped. Now his poop looks like a real dog. Must be something in the dirt, or a smell or something.

My Mandy has always eaten dirt. We have squirrels that cut across our lawn alot and bury their acorns so Mandy smells them and since the dirt is loose from the squirrels burying them she just can't help but want to dig too. She doesn't do it everyday and seems to do less as it gets colder outsidfe.
