Are you talking about routine cleaning? I use ear wipes that I bought at PetsMart. I clean any dirt I CAN SEE without reaching into the ear canal.

Thanks Willow. Realized my original post is somewhat confusingly worded (sorry bout that): To clairy, I'm looking mostly to see what solution(s)/products those here feel are safest/work best for cleaning their dog's ears and how they apply them if not in wipe form (i.e. saturated cotton ball, dropper, etc).

I squirt a small amount in the ear then rub their ear on their head. After they shake their head use little cleaning cloths or qtips but not into the ear canal.
